Love

Love.
It’s the slow rhythm beating from your heart
The echoing name that resounds through air
It’s the moving fingers trailing their way across
Making imprints on the sheets on which we lay.
It’s the foliage growing greener day by day
Inside the sinews of your heart.
The smile that spreads upon your lips
The legs that dance and sway their hips.
It’s the gladness you willingly embrace
And the falling flakes you want to catch
All revealing your brilliant secret
That perhaps you’ve finally found your match.
It’s the large rose you bring for me
And the tender way you say my name
It’s in the way you look at life
All of a sudden it’s an easy game!
Oh the giddy brilliance of love
It’s like catching likeness in God above.

  1. 10/10.. Very few love poems I've read that resonate as deep as this!
    Amazing!
